The Danbury Fair was held in Danbury, Connecticut yearly from 1869 to 1981. In addition to agriculture and all the usual attractions, the fair featured horse racing, boat racing and stock car racing. After the last fair in 1981, which this home movie documents, the fairgrounds were purchased by the Wilmorite Corp. A shopping mall built on the site was given the name The Danbury Fair Mall.
