The Colourscope viewer was manufactured by Standard Cameras in the UK in the early 1950s. Standard Cameras made inexpensive cameras under the "Conway" brand from 1931 to 1955, including the Robin Hood, a stereo camera, in the 1930s. The viewer was often packaged with slides as a souvenir set.

The S. S. Patricia was used as both a ferry between Sweden and the UK and a cruise ship sailing from New York to the Caribbean. It was operated by Swedish Lloyd of Gothenberg from 1951 to 1957, after which it was sold and renamed several times before finally being scrapped in 1997.

The name on the label pasted to the interior of the lid is incorrect. The ship in the first slide below is definitely the S. S. Patricia and the name on the box of slides and the top of the lid is correct.
