Everybody's favorite Star Wars character! When the RFID chip shown here is placed on a separate reader, the appropriate character speaks. The plastic character can be posed on top of the chip. For Jar Jar Binks, the three sentences spoken are "Mesa Ja Ja Binks," "Gungans no liken outsiders," and "Whoa, yousa guys bombab." To quote The Guardian, Dec. 7, 2015:
He was irritating, with a silly voice and alien patois, which had enough of a Jamaican tinge to give rise to allegations (denied by creator George Lucas) of racist stereotyping. Binks is often considered the most hated character in the whole space saga, if not in the entire history of film.
The RFID chip consists of a metal spiral antenna and a small chip that holds the speech. Chips were recorded in multiple languages. A planned 2nd generation was canceled.
