A sound-on-disc record for Gaumont's Chronophone system, which synchronized a gramophone with a movie projector for short films, most of which were musical performances. The system used a compressed-air amplifier, which made it loud enough to fill a theater. The records were 78 rpm, meaning they held about three minutes of sound, so the player had two turntables, which allowed the projectionist to queue up the next record for a seamless transition.
