A high capacity storage cell for a robotic mass storage library. Each cell contained 32 silver-halide photographic film chips and held approximately 150 Mbits (18.7 GB). The entire system could hold up to 1 TB of data. Data was written with an electron beam and read using a CRT flying spot scanner and a photocell.
