3-color additive filmed through 3-color filter. The filter, consisting of parallel strips of color, is separate from the film. The black and white film is embossed with cylindrical lenses extending across the frame. The lenses direct the light passing though the filters onto the film in parallel strips. A similar filter in the camera reconstructs the original color. Since the embossed lenticulation is on the film itself, the film is developed using reversal processing (Celestin 1936).

The film itself is black and white. The color is recovered only when projected through the filter.
