Originally intended for home use, but saw its greatest use in broadcast TV and other commercial applications. Often called the first video cassette—a protoype was shown in 1969, before the debut of the RCA TCR-100. Flaws included "trouble reproducing the color red…to the point where…anchorpeople would be discouraged from wearing red on camera."
