A lithographic copy of an early stereo daguerreotype attributed to Louis-Jules Duboscq (although it may actually have been taken by for him by Claude-Marie Ferrier.) Daguerreotypes were unique and expensive artifacts that could not be duplicated or mass-produced. Lithographic copies made by hand allowed Duboscq to give views away with purchases of his new stereoscope.
