Super 8 was developed by Kodak to improve image quality and ease of use over 8 mm film. Better image quality was achieved with a larger frame, which was accommodated by removing one row of perforations and reducing the size of the sprocket holes on the other side. A plastic, preloaded cartridge made loading the camera easier and eliminated the need to flip the film halfway through.

This film, based on one of Isaac Asimov's robot stories, was made in 8th grade by me and my best friend at the time using his dad's Super 8 camera. (I was the short one.)
