Instructions say that "it is entirely practical to edit wire recordings just as one might edit home movie film." Splicing wire required simply tying the two ends together with a square knot (Antique Electronic Supply). The spool holds approx. 7000 ft. of .004 in. wire for about 1 hour of recording time.
